The power of football is undeniable, and the positive impact it can have on communities is immeasurable. J2A is a non-profit organisation dedicated to improving the lives of young boys and girls in Kenya through football. J2A's mission is to inspire, educate, and empower young people to reach their full potential both on and off the field.

J2A's work is not limited to coaching clinics and recognition ceremonies. The organisation is also involved in various initiatives, such as the Nairobi Soccer Academy'Kick Off to Hope,' which is run by newly appointed J2A ambassador Musa Otieno. Musa is one of Kenya's most successful and decorated footballers, having made his national team debut for Kenya against Zaire in 1993 at the age of 19. He has accepted an ambassadorial role with J2A activities in Kenya.

The Nairobi Soccer Academy 'Kick Off to Hope' recently celebrated a donation of shin pads and boot bags generously donated by Le Masurier Jersey, and Alive& Kicking footballs kindly sponsored by BBC Radio Jersey. Patrick Matasi, a goalkeeper who still finds time to actively support his goalkeeper academy in his local village, was presented with J4K junior gloves. J2A is extremely proud of its Kenya team, which includes Steve, Alex, and George, who are fantastic advocates for J2A in Kenya.

In December 2019, J2A visited Kenya and met with Martin Kibera, who does fantastic work in his local community coaching and developing football freestyle skills. Martin is thrilled to receive some new kits for some of his young players from the City Estate, Nairobi, which were kindly donated by Laura and staff at Carey Olsen, Jersey.

J2A is committed to using football as a tool to create positive change in Kenya. After a great day of competitive football, J2A was delighted to play a part in the presentation ceremonies as a co-sponsor of the tournament. Members of Jersey Finance, Faizal Bhana, Director for Africa, and Anna Siodak, Kenya Country Coordinator, wer ealso in attendance.

J2A's work is making a real difference in the lives of young boys and girls in Kenya.
